For a private independent film company, we created a highly realistic animatronic silicone beating heart prop, presented within a medical organ donor transport box. Designed for close-up filming, the prop was engineered to convincingly replicate the movement, weight, and appearance of a living human heart.
The heart was sculpted and cast in silicone, with integrated internal mechanics to produce a rhythmic beating motion. Careful attention was given to surface detail, translucency, and coloration to ensure on-screen realism, while the donor box was finished to reflect authentic medical transport equipment.
This project highlights our ability to combine sculptural realism, material knowledge, and mechanical integration to produce compelling practical effects for film.
